Autumn Winter

2010 sees renowned milliner Emma Fielden launch her website emmafielden.co.uk, alongside her Spring Summer 2011 collection, featuring Emma’s signature handwriting of all that glitters........ from dramatic fascinators, to over sized floral headpieces

Fantastic sculptural forms and elegant shapes are the basis of Emma Fielden’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection, with each piece offering something special and unique. Dramatic angles, floral chic and soft feminine glamour make Emma’s new collection perfect for stylish summer days and nights.

Designs include cleverly constructed floral headpieces, from ornate rose pieces, to beautiful orchid headbands that frame the face. A colour palette of soft pinks and creamy peaches, mixed with vivid cerise pink and citrus greens reiterate the botanical theme.

Shapes are show stopping, with extravagant fascinators, exaggerated brims, diamante encrusted florals and fly away bows. Meticulous detail adds the finishing touches to decedent headbands, whilst chic straw sun hats showcase Emma’s millinery expertise. Bold shapes are to be worn at extreme angles and include the statement disc fascinator in pink and the extravagant circular hat in green and black. It’s the ultimate statement glamour, with an edge.

Bring out your inner showgirl with standout oversized bows, headbands featuring beautifully curled feathers, and flyaway net bows all in dramatic contrasting colours, which complement the vibrant floral creations in this distinguished collection.

Emma FieldenEmma Fielden, is a milliner whose intricate designs have graced some of the best dressed in Britain. Recently featured in Vogue, it’s no wonder her profile is rapidly on the rise, with her beautiful new collection oozing glitter and hard edged glamour just in time for Christmas.

Emma Fielden studied Fashion at Cheltenham School of Art before specialising in Millinery at Kensington and Chelsea College, achieving a distinction in both courses. While studying, she also trained under the Royal Milliner, Philip Somerville. She went on to work for respected milliners, Gilly Forge and Christine Bec, and as a designer for Siggi, before setting up her own label from her then Brixton based studio. Emma Fielden

Since then, Emma has continued to hand-make her millinery marvels to suit every occasion or event. The transition from the summer races to cold winter months has been made evident in Emma’s new winter wonderland style collection.

As seen on Keira Gormley in a recent shoot for fashion brand Jarlo, the new collection Is all about offering something special and unique to your wardrobe. The crystal diamante lips head-piece sits elegantly to the side of the head.

For something a little more spectacular, Emma’s dramatic, sculptured feather and flower pieces are glamour with an edge. The black feather headband is sure to be a conversation-starter at any party, larger than most of Emma’s other designs, the feathers sit like a side-hat and shimmer in the light with metallic shades of deep peacock greens and black. The sixties inspired sculptural flower pieces are eye catching, in bold colours including fuchsia, turquoise and lime green, perfect for adding a statement piece to any outfit.

Alternatively, for lovers of feminine chic, Emma offers delicately designed pieces including a dainty silver and gold sequin butterfly headpiece, white and silver pieces with flowers, feathers and diamante detail and a half-mirror ball design with silver mesh bow detailing, great for bringing out one’s girly streak. The mirror panels indicate that it’s party time but the bow adds a womanly touch, perfect to team with an LBD for a special occasion.
